Tic-Tac-Toe: Totally Fair Edition
A rigged tic-tac-toe game with hand-drawn SVG animations, escalating cheat mechanics, and a job offer contract. Built as a single HTML file with zero dependencies. Just vibes, cheating, and a cartoon pencil.
The Idea
I wanted something on my portfolio that people would actually remember. Not another project card, but something interactive, funny, and a little bit cheeky. A game you can’t win, with a job offer you can’t refuse.
How It Cheats
The AI starts playing fair to lull you in. Then things escalate:
- The Eraser: a cartoon pencil flips around and rubs out your X with the eraser end, complete with rubber shavings
- The Flip: “Oops, bumped the table”. The entire board rotates 180 degrees
- The Expansion: if you somehow force a draw, the board grows a 4th row and the AI wins anyway
Every loss ends with a contract requiring you to offer me a job. The terms get more absurd each round.
The Build
Single HTML file, no frameworks, no build step. Hand-drawn SVG grid with wobbly lines, pencil-draw animations using stroke-dashoffset, a signature canvas, and a wax-seal submit button. It’s designed to match my portfolio’s theme system automatically.
